Welcome to the official web site of the Candia Conservation Commission (CCC) of Candia, New Hampshire.

MISSION STATEMENT: To advocate for the proper utilization and protection of the natural resources and for the protection of watershed resources of Candia.

The primary goal of the CCC is to promote and protect Candia's water, forest, agricultural and wildlife resources. Much of our official business includes reviewing wetland applications with respect to road and building proposals in Candia. These are submitted to the New Hampshire State Department of Environmental Services (DES) whenever wetlands would be impacted by such projects. The CCC submits recommendations to DES on these applications as appropriate.

We also attempt to promote and protect our rural character by hosting workshops and educating the residents about the importance of maintaining wildlife habitat and open spaces in our town. We are currently working with landowners to conserve land through activities of the Candia Open Space Committee, a sub-committee of the CCC. CCC funds will be used in this way.
